People ask us how a 3D print goes from an idea to something you can hold. It's a slow, satisfying process - and here's the short version.
1. Design
Every print starts as a 3D model file. Sometimes it's a design we made ourselves, sometimes it's your file, sometimes it's a custom commission drawn up from your sketch.
2. Slice
The model gets sliced into thousands of thin layers. That's the file that tells the printer exactly where to move, layer by layer.
3. Print
The printer lays down filament one layer at a time. Small pieces take a couple of hours; bigger ones can run overnight. It's slow on purpose - patience is what gets clean layers.
4. Finish
Fresh prints get their supports removed and a once-over by hand - sanding, cleanup, making sure it feels right before it ships.
