Tote bags and pouches are the most hands-on thing we make. No printer, no cutter, just fabric, a machine and a bit of patience. Here is how a sewn piece comes together, from a flat bolt of cloth to something you carry.
1. Fabric first
Every piece starts with a fabric choice. Canvas and cotton for everyday bags, heavier twill when you want something that survives a full grocery run. We buy in small quantities, so prints and colours rotate - when a bolt runs out, it is usually gone for good. If you see a fabric you like in the shop, that is the moment to ask.
2. Cutting by hand
Pattern pieces get traced and cut by hand. This is the part nobody ever sees and the part that matters most. A panel cut a few millimetres off shows up later in every seam, so it is worth going slow here.
3. Sewing
Straps, boxed corners, topstitching, all done on our own machine. Tote handles get stitched and then stitched again, because a bag almost always fails at the handle before anywhere else.
4. Finishing
Loose threads clipped, seams checked, the whole thing pressed and folded. Then it gets wrapped and packed by hand.

Made to order, one at a time
Nothing here is mass produced and nothing is drop-shipped. A sewn piece is made after you order it, which means two things: you can ask for changes before we cut, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than a defect.
Most of what we sew started as a message from someone who wanted something slightly different from what was in the shop. If you have a fabric, a size or a shape in mind that you cannot find, that is exactly the kind of request worth sending us.
